Mary & Kevin have lived in Saranac Lake since 1988 and are avid outdoor enthusiasts. They enjoy hiking, biking, paddling, swimming, x-c skiing and snowshoeing. They reside in the lower level of the house and have lived in Saranac Lake for over 30 years. They honor their guests privacy and are glad to offer guidance when asked. You will find a book in the room put together by the host with suggested hikes, things to do, and to dining plus, a selection of brochures, maps, and books to peruse.
We are conveniently located a short walk from Saranac Lake's downtown shops, restaurants and artist galleries. The building behind The Nook is BluSeed Studios, featuring art exhibitions, workshops and live music and plays. Across the street kitty corner is a small park with a tennis court and basketball court. Less than a mile away is the towns municipal beach, park and picnic area at Lake Colby - always a lovely spot to watch the sunset and lower Saranac Lake canoe and kayak boat launch, which gives access to the spectacular Saranac chain of lakes. We are 10 miles from Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics and 25 miles from Tupper Lake, home of the Wild Center.
Breath, relax, feel,and be.
Be well, Mary & Kevin
